Took today to setup me new shiney blog. Hopefully will get the chance to keep this updated regularly on the progress of my projects, starting with the diesel bike!

Today I recieved the engine off German ebay. It was delivered to the house by the courier I selected on a pallet. Because it was lying on its back the oil was coming out the breather hose and made a right mess of the place. Otherwise the engine looks good and all the major parts are there. Was a bit disappointed that the alternator, pulley and starter motor were not supplied with the engine, but overall a fairly good deal on what looks to be a decent engine. Next will have to remove various unneeded bits…
